Mary Lorraine Hanner

Mary Lorraine Hanner, age 91, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017.

She was born in DuBois, PA on July 9, 1926, to Michael and Mary Sullivan.

Mary is survived by her husband of over 65 years, John “Jack”; daughter, Mary Pat Giordano of Milford, MI; sons, John F. (Belinda Shavalier) Hanner of Muskegon and Paul (Nancy) Hanner of Lexington, KY; 5 grandchildren, Jason K. (Janet) Peasley, Christopher J. (Kirby) Hanner, Megan (Ben) Rosenbach, Lindsey Hanner and Gregory Hanner; 2 great-grandchildren, Violet Evelyn Peasley and Elijah H. Rosenbach; daughter-in-law, Amanda Hanner; sons-in-law, Jay Peasley and Michael Giordano; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; daughter-in-law, Cynthia, and grandchildren, Stephen and Janelle Hanner.

Mary was a dedicated career Registered Nurse and worked locally for many years at Heartland Manor.

She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church. Mary and Jack enjoyed dancing and were members of several dance clubs.

Mary loved to travel and had been to many parts of this country and to her ancestral home of Ireland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 5149 Dowling St. in Montague.

Visitation will also take place at the church on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM.

Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service time on Friday.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
