Mary Lou Smith, age 80, West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence.
Born February 17, 1935 in Reynoldsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Rentovich) Meholick.
On May 23, 1970, she married Melvin C. Smith. He survives.
Mary Lou worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing for 17 years.
She was a member of Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church. She volunteered her time playing the organ at Christ the King Manor. She enjoyed gambling and bowling.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Melanie Kronenwetter of DuBois, PA and a son, Allen C. Smith and his wife, Jill of Derry, NH, and three sisters, Madeline Marshall of DuBois, PA, Rose Marie Vrobel of Heath, OH and Dorothy “Dot” Frederick of DuBois, PA.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Leslie Smith, and a sister, June Henry.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A divine liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 A.M. from the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Simeon B. Sibenik as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
