Mary M. ‘Bonnie’ (Bianco) Britton

Mary M. “Bonnie” (Bianco) Britton, 80 of Falls Creek died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Penn Highlands, DuBois.

She was born on August, 14, 1934 in Walston, PA, the daughter of the late Jacob and Pauline (Knopick) Bianco.

Mrs. Britton was a home maker and devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Falls Creek and loved her “church” family. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Auxiliary Eagles. She was a graduate of Punxsutawney H.S. and was known as a “hard worker” who loved to cook and prepare family meals, baking for her family and friends, and had a passion for yard sales. She was a proud grandmother who dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children; three sons, Mark Britton and his wife Susan of Dubois, David Britton of Brockway, Tim Britton of Falls Creek; and her daughter, Kathy (BJ) Amatrone of Brockway; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Bianco and his wife Judy of Brockway; and one sister, Gerry Bray and her husband Jeff of Brockway.

Preceded in death by two brothers, infant Richard, and Gene Bianco, one sister, Polly Cielo.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Falls Creek officiated by Father Matias Quimno.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney.
