Mary Mae Craft

Mary Mae Craft, 88, of Butler, formerly of Juneau, passed away Wednesday January 6, 2021, at Newhaven Court at Clearview, Butler.

She was born January 12, 1932, to Perry and Margaret (Shields) Bennett in Juneau.

Mary was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Juneau until she moved to Prospect, PA, and attended the Presbyterian Church of Prospect. She volunteered and donated to numerous charities, including the Salvation Army. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, an avid quilter, and a former member of the Punxsutawney Quilt Club. She spent her senior years in Prospect, and snow birding with her family in Orlando Florida.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Jamieson, Winter Park, FL, Candice M. Askew and husband Robert, Harmony, PA; two grandchildren, Sydney Nelson and husband Rusty, and Michael Jamieson; two brothers, Richard “Dick” Bennett and wife Charmaine, Rossiter, Perry “Buck” Bennett and wife Nancy, Ford City, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth R. Craft in 2006; a sister, Dora Sitosky and three brothers, Leroy, Robert, and George Bennett.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 am . Interment will take place at Mahoning Union Cemetery, Marchand.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, the March of Dimes or the American Red Cross.
