Mary “Mitzi” Reay

Mary “Mitzi” Reay, 94, DuBois, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home.

Born October 30, 1927, in McDonald, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Edith B. (Flowers) Bepler.

On November 22, 1957, she married William H. Reay Sr. in Luthersburg. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2016.

Mitzi graduated from McDonald High School in 1946.

In her working years, she was employed by Rockwell Manufacturing, Richard Anderson Insurance, and the Federal Reserve Bank in Pittsburgh.

Mitzi volunteered for the local food pantry, the American Red Cross, and the First United Methodist Church where she was a member.

She was also a member of the Martha Group and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mitzi is survived by two grandchildren, William H. Reay III and Stacy Reay, both of DuBois, a great-granddaughter, Rose Reay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mitzi was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Reay Jr., a sister, Wilma J. Saver, and two brothers, Louis Bepler and William Asher Bepler.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor John Emigh officiating.

Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
