Mary Veronica (Stoyak) Kollar, 85, of Rossiter, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born in Arcadia, Indiana County, on May 08, 1932, the only child of Stanley Stoyak and Annie L. Kernesick.
On August 19, 1950, she became the wife of Joseph Kollar. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1993.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to attend Music in the Park each summer at Barclay Square, and she was a fan of both Rock and Country music, especially John Cougar Mellencamp and Elvis.
Sitting on her front porch was a favorite pass time as well as reading magazines.
She is survived by three of her seven children, JoAnn Kollar and Mike Wasicki of Rossiter, Jackie Kollar of Punxsutawney, and Deanna Mack and husband Greg of Ringgold; seven grandchildren, Ricky Wright Jr and wife Laura, Christina Parris, Sharona Catalano, Cherish Wright, Heather Timblin and husband Seth, Shantelle Wasicki and Kristen Mack; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, infant daughter, Mary, two daughters, Jenny Shick and Darlene Wright; one son, Joseph Kollar, and one granddaughter, Brooke Pearce.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Resurrection, celebrated by Father George Saletrik.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
