They will be showcasing Bowdish’s newly refurbished miniature diorama, running the trains, and presenting the Grand Opening of 3 new exhibits. There will be a three gallery Fighting Fire exhibit which showcases the history of Jefferson County’s fire departments and EMS services. Other event activities include a coloring contest, which is available in the Jeffersonian Democrat, light refreshments, and a book signing with Carole Briggs for her newly published three volume book, People, Places, and Things in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. Chalk Board Tray Paint Class at Deer Creek Winery

“This class is going to be so much fun! We’ll be using our Olde Libety Chalk Style Paint AND Chalkboard Paint. We’ll teach you how to create three sweet chalkboards out of trays. We’ll supply you with three small metal trays and you’ll get to choose the color you’d like to paint each one. You really can write on them with Chalk. We’ll supply everything you need to create 3 chalkboard trays With special “chalkboard” paint and finished in any of our 16 different colors of Olde Liberty Chalk Style Paint. We’ll show you how to sand and use dark and clear wax to get the finish you like. Everything will be provided that you need to create your gorgeous pieces, but you may want to bring an apron or paint shirt to protect your clothes.
