Owners Korry Lindemuth and Tiffany Dinger will be hosting the Grand Opening of K&T Supplies, Inc., on Friday, August 28. Sugar Hillbilly’s Frogs & Chics Concessions will be on the site making food. Clarion River Canoeing & Kayaking Program: Gravel Lick-Mill Creek

When:Friday, August 28, 2015, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Where:Cook Forest State Park Office, Cooksburg, PA
Details:
An 8.5 mile interpretive historical canoeing program on the National Wild & Scenic Clarion River from Gravel Lick to Mill Creek for experienced canoeists/kayakers only. Fishing is excellent here, so don’t forget your fishing poles. Meeting will take place promptly at the Park Office to car-pool to the starting point. Remember to bring protective footwear, rain gear, and change of clothes.
Cost is payable by check or money order made out to ‘Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’. Lunch provided to those who register by 8/26. Prior Cook Forest kayak training participants receive a 50% discount. Pre-registration is required.

Hike and Discover Cook Forest

Meet at the Log Cabin Inn Environmental Learning Classroom for a challenging 4 mile interpretive hike through one of the most magnificent old growth forests in entire Eastern United States. You will be passing many of the park’s highlighted, but seldom viewed attributes and the rocks from which a portion of Cecil B. DeMille’s, The Unconquered, was filmed. Equipment Run

For riders of motorcycle, jeeps, or trucks. Registration begins at noon, ride begins at 1:00pm. Cost: a piece of equipment/assistive technology or $25. Equipment/assistive technology will be given to individuals with disabilities who are in need of assistive technology and have no way of obtaining it. Rut Program at Elk Country Visitor Center
