Michael A. Renwick

1810148_profile_picMichael A. Renwick, 55, Punxsutawney, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born January 18, 1961, in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Arlene (Wehler) Renwick.

On November 19, 1982, he married Mary C. (Schneider) Renwick, who survives.

Mike was the founder and general manager of Quality Gear and Machine in Punxsutawney, PA.

He was a 1979 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and attended Slippery Rock University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

He was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.

Mike was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

Mike was a devoted family man, in addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Gregory Renwick of Greenville, SC, Stephen Renwick of DuBois, Bradley Renwick of Johnstown, and Thomas Renwick of Punxsutawney; a granddaughter Ryann Renwick; three brothers, Joseph Renwick and wife Lori of St. Marys, Patrick Renwick and wife Amy of Punxsutawney, and Corey Renwick of St. Marys; a sister Janine McCullough and husband Tim of St. Marys; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, 33 Hillcrest Drive, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at SS.C.D. Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Renwick, to the charity of the donors’ choice.
