Michael Chad Clark

Michael Chad Clark, 31, of Punxsutawney passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his home.

Michael was born on May 19, 1984 in Olean, New York, a son of Michael John Clark and Toni Marie (Young) Clark. He is survived by his father, Michael John Clark and wife Sherry; his mother, Toni Marie Lewis and husband Robert, all of Punxsutawney.

On March 10, 2011 he married his sweetheart, the former Michelle Shank. She survives.

Michael was a kind-hearted man who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed the outdoors; especially, skateboarding, snowboarding, hunting, and four- wheeling. Michael’s family was everything to him. His wife and children were his pride and joy, he and his wife did everything together. Michael was loved by so many. He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, nephew, and grandson who will be missed by so many.

Besides his wife, his parents and their spouses, Michael is survived by his children; Devon, Charles, and Mylee Clark; a brother, Stephen Clark and Deanna Surkala of Big Run, a step brother, Robert Weaver and a step sister, Kayla Weaver, both of Punxsutawney; and his beloved paternal grandfather, Martin Clark and his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Jane Young, both of Punxsutawney.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Kathleen Clark and his maternal grandfather, Paul “Jr” Young.

Family and friends will be received at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., of Punxsutawney from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015 immediately followed by a funeral service at the funeral home officiated by David Hicks.
