Michael E. Hanson, age 68, of Hopewell Township, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA, died Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home.
Born on April 1, 1954 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Norman and Stella (Glowacki) Hanson.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Mary Lou (Seelye) Hanson.
Mike retired from Owens Illinois in management, after an over 40-year career in glass manufacturing.
He was an avid fly fisherman, loved being outside and anywhere near a coast.
There was nothing Mike loved more than spending time with his two grandsons Garrett and Gavin, going fishing, camping, the driving range or just simply being together with them.
You could always find him on the sidelines at any of their sporting events.
Along with his wife, Mike is survived by two daughters (Jennifer Sprague and her husband Chad of Moon Township, PA and Heather Hanson and her husband Noah Ash of Pittsburgh, PA), two grandsons (Garrett and Gavin Sprague), one brother (Edward Hanson of Brockway, PA) and one sister (Susan Phillips and her husband William of Falls Creek, PA).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Although flowers are appreciated, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
