Michael E. Mellilo

michaelMichael E. Mellilo, age 60, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at the Arthur G. James/OSU Medical Center.

Born May 28, 1956, in Brookville, Pa., to the late Eugene and Rachel (Cardamone) Melillo, he was a 1975 graduate of Brookville Area High School and served in the U.S. Army.

He was formerly employed as an officer at Brookville, Pa. and Buckeye Lake Police Departments, and was currently employed at All Crane in Columbus.

He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Lancaster and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Melillo; step-daughters, Sarah (Michael) Koss, Franklin, OH, Emilee Klamfoth, Logan; grandchildren, Maria, Rebekah, and Elijah Koss, Elena and Isabella Klamfoth; sisters, Regina (Rick) Cherico, Brookville, PA, Lisa (Bob) Pascuzzo, and Anna Conrad, both of Punxsutawney, PA; mother-in-law, Marian Gallicchio; father-in-law, Don Wilson; brother-in-law, Don Wilson; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Danielle) Melillo, Rachel, Richard, and Sarah Cherico, Joseph, Nicholas, Anthony, Michael, and Maria Pascuzzo; Lauren and Lance Conrad, and Alex Wilson.

Friends may visit 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m. Friday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home and Crematory, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark Catholic Church, 324 Gay St., Lancaster, with Fr. Peter Gideon, Celebrant.

Interment will be later at St. Mary Cemetery in Lancaster.

Friends who wish may contribute to Pelotonia or St. Mark Food Pantry in Mike’s memory.
