Michael J. “Q-Bert” Uberti

Michael J. “Q-Bert” Uberti, 58 of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Uberti was born June 15, 1957, in St. Marys, a son of the late John J. and Colleen A. (Gaffey) Uberti.

He is survived by his loving wife Lou (Pifer) Uberti of Punxsutawney.

Mr. Uberti worked many years as a Journeyman Pipe Fitter before retirement. He was a member of L U #354, Eagles and MOOSE in Punxsutawney. Q-Bert was an avid Steelers fan and also enjoyed NASCAR. He had a strong faith and loved the Lord.

In addition to his wife Lou, he is survived by two daughters; Zita Tyger and husband Dan of Creekside, Sasha Uberti of Kansas City, MI, one stepson; Josh Snyder of Georgia and one step-daughter; Michelle Burkett and husband Mark of Eastern PA. He is also survived by one brother, J. Thomas Uberti and wife Joanna of Punxsutawney, two sisters; Lorraine London and husband Wayne of DuBois, Linda Uberti of Punxsutawney and six grandchildren; Zachary, Canyon, Maverick, Xavier, Collin, Ryan and his dog Jack.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Terrence M. Uberti, and infant granddaughter, Shayla Rose.

Friends will be received from 4 until 7 pm Tuesday, May 17 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Joseph Buterbaugh officiating.
