Mildred J. Rutkowski

Mildred J. Rutkowski, Age 83 of Tower Lane, DuBois, Pa died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her home.

Born on February 23, 1931 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel & Anna (Radzik) Skraba.

On September 17, 1955, she married Edward F. Rutkowski. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2012.

She was a 1949 graduate of the DuBois Area High School.

Mildred retired from the Brockway Glass Company after 25 years of service.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she was active in many church affairs, and was a member of the Rosary infant of Prague Society.

She was a avid polka dancer and a member of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Polka Club. She enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her son (Joseph E. Rutkowski and his wife Veronica Lisciandro of Westerville, OH); 2 grandchildren (Maria Parrish & her husband Kristopher and their son Kaseton, and Kristin Rutkowski and her fiancé Mike Green & his son Brennan) and her brothers and sisters (Irene Zinzella; Steve Skraba; Frances Shaw; Henry Skraba & his wife Darlene; Josephine Smith, Carolyn Robertson & her husband Timothy; and, John Skraba& his wife Josephine, all of DuBois, PA)

She was preceded in death by a sister, (Mary Ann Sickeri); and brothers, (Alex Skraba and Raymond Skraba).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

The rosary will be prayed on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery

Memorials may be made to St. Michael the Archangel, 25 Robinson St., DuBois, PA 15801 and/or the charity of the donor’s choice.
