Miss Ohio Set to Speak at Annual Groundhog Club Banquet on January 31

10805720_10152546925347106_7821889040439933065_n (1)PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Miss Ohio, Mackenzie Bart, will speak at this year’s Annual Groundhog Club Banquet held on Saturday, January 31, at the Punxsutawney Area High School.

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.

Jeff Lundy, Vice President of the Inner Circle, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the banquet.

Bart, a native of Brockway, will be the quest speaker for this year’s banquet.

After graduating from Brockway High School, Bart continued her education at Ohio State University, studying Atmospheric Sciences.

She is now in her senior year at OSU and has just completed an internship with The Weather Channel in Atlanta, GA.

This summer, Bart was crowned Miss Ohio 2014 and participated in the Miss America pageant in September. Bart placed in the top ten, was the Talent Award winner, and the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Scholarship Winner.

Bart is known for her love of weather and ventriloquism.

In addition to a presentation by Mackenzie Bart, the Man and Woman of the Year for Punxsutawney will be announced, as well as the new Ambassadors of the Groundhog Club.

Tickets for the banquet cost $25.00 each.
