More Snow Predicted for Jefferson County

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – The calendar may soon say it’s spring, but local weather will remain wintry for the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service, beginning Monday night, there is a slight chance of snow in the area, mainly after 8:00 p.m.

The low temperature will be about 23 with the wind coming out of the northwest between 5 and 8 miles per hour.

There is a 40 percent chance of snow on Tuesday with new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

The temperature will be near 34 degrees with winds out of the west at 6 to 11 mph. Tuesday night, there is a 40 percent chance of snow with a low temperature of 22 degrees and winds out of the west around 11 mph. New snow accumulation is predicted to be less than one inch.

There is a 50% chance of snow on Wednesday with a high near 30. West winds will be 13 to 16 mph.

A 30% chance of snow is forecasted for Wednesday night and a low temperature around 22.

Temperatures are expected to be moderate toward the end of the week with a high of 50 on Saturday under partly sunny skies.
