Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Burnside Township

BURNSIDE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a hit-and-run crash occurred Saturday evening in Burnside Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, around 7:06 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, an unknown individual was traveling northbound on Ridge Road in Burnside Township, negotiating a right-hand curve when the vehicle entered the southbound lane and struck a 2008 Jmstar-Shanghai motorcycle operated by 74-year-old Daniel L. Hurd, of Mahaffey.

Hurd lost control of his motorcycle and drove off the roadway.

The unidentified individual did not stop at the scene of the crash.

Hurd was wearing a helmet and eye protection. He suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
