Nancy Lynn Jackson

20161203164351_00001aNancy Lynn Jackson, age 92, from Sigel, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 2, 2016, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born in Emerickville, Pennsylvania, on December 30, 1923. She was one of thirteen children born to Grover Eugene Taylor and Dora (Kahn) Taylor. She married Cecil Leroy Jackson, a native of Sigel, Pennsylvania on October 21, 1947 in Emerickville, Pennsylvania.

Nancy was a homemaker for most of her life, but also worked for Sylvania Electric Corporation in Brookville, Pennsylvania and the Ocram Corporation in Seneca Falls, NY for a number of years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, spending time with her family, collecting rocks, playing the piano and organ and helping others in need. She was a member of the Kahletown Community Church in Sigel, Pennsylvania and the Seneca Falls Church of the Nazarene, Seneca Falls, New York. In both churches, she played the organ and taught Sunday school for many years. She was steadfast in her faith all of her life.

Nancy is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Lynn McConnell of Ontario, New York, Patricia Lee Conway and Nancy Jane Clark of Sigel, Pennsylvania.

Nancy was the grandmother of seven grandchildren and the great-grandmother of twelve.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Grover and Dora Taylor, brothers and sisters, Alfred, Freda, Winnifred, Grace, Harry, Jack, Jimmy, David and Dora, as well as her husband of sixty years, Cecil L. Jackson in 2008 and one granddaughter in 1973.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, from 10am – 11am, at the Kahletown Community Church on Fisher Rd., in Eldred Twp. A funeral service will following the viewing at the Church, beginning at 11:00am.

Interment to take place at the Kahletown Cemetery, Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made to The Kahletown Community Church, or to the Rebecca M. Arthurs Library, 223 Valley St., Brookville, PA, 15825, or to the Salvation Army nearest to the donor.

Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, of Brookville, PA.
