Police Respond to Fog-Related Crash in Jefferson County

State PoliceWASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) –Dubois-based State Police report no injuries following a one-vehicle crash in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police report around 12:00 a.m. August 30, a crash occurred as a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by a 16-year-old Brockway boy, was traveling along Whelpley Road near Horizon Drive.

The vehicle was negotiating a 90-degree turn and the driver was unable to distinguish the roadway due to heavy fog.

The vehicle traveled straight through the turn, crossing the opposing lane and continuing down an embankment before impacting a tree.

Both the driver and his passenger, a 16-year-old Brockway girl, were wearing seat belts and were uninjured.
