No Injuries Reported When Car Takes Out Brookville Street Light

brookville-policeBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) –Brookville Police report no injuries following a one-vehicle crash along Main Street in Brookville.

Police say around 2:03 a.m. on September 6, they were flagged down by several individuals along Main Street who said they had been involved in a vehicle accident which took out an overhead street lamp.

The pole was lying on the ground with debris all over the roadway, according to police.

The driver, an 18-year-old Brookville man, said he fell asleep or dozed off and went up on the bank beside a church and struck the lamp post. The light was severely damaged and had to be disconnected and removed from the scene, police say.

The driver was not charged or injured, and his two passengers also escaped injury, according to police.
