Nora “Isabel” Leshok, 94, Sykesville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the home of her son, Charles, after a lengthy illness.
Born Aug. 21, 1920, in Elenora, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Laura Hamilton Raybuck. She was married to Alex Leshok. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Nora graduated from Brady Township High School. She previously worked at Woolworth 5&10 Store and Cowdrick’s Drug Store in DuBois. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Sykesville.
Nora is survived by a son, Charles Leshok and his wife, Jane, of Reynoldsville; a brother, Donald Raybuck, and his wife, Thomasina, of DuBois; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Leshok; four brothers: Jack, Wilson, Alexander and H. Vaughn “Von” Raybuck; two sisters, Donna Kohler and Peg Kirk; a grandson, Josh Leshok; and a great-grandson, Daniel Yohe.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dawn Krishart officiating. Burial will be in Reynoldsville Cemetery.
