Norma Shiock, 93, of Punxsutawney, PA died peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016.
She was born August 25, 1923 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late Frederick and Frances (Hippchen) Dombart.
She was married to William (Sham) Shiock who preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a homemaker and the last of her family.
She was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School and was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ for 80 years.
She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxillary No 1231; member of the former Elk Run Fire Company Ladies Auxillary; Elk Run Card Club; and also the Women’s Bowling League.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Davis of Punxsutawney, PA and Ann Sanchez of Chesterton, IN.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lt. Col. Scott Davis and his wife, Nicole of Navarre, FL, Marci Collins and her husband, Craig of Danville, IN, Polly Wainwright of Chesterton, IN; seven great-grandchildren, Justin, Jase and Lexi Davis, Miranda Morley and her husband Aaron, Michael and Maxwell Collins, and Gabriel Underwood; also three great-great-grandchildren, Charity, Lily and William Morley.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick B. Hippchen and two sisters, Bernice Miller and Margaret Mitchell.
Friends will be received at the Richard L Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA on Tueday, October 25, 2016 from 4-8.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Michele Huey officiating.
A private interment will follow in Circle Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that donations in memory of Norma be made to the Punxsutawney Memorial Library.
