One-Car Collision in Union Township; Driver, Passengers Escape Injuries

Police car lightsUNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 6:00 p.m. on March 4, a one-car accident occurred on Interstate 80 West, at the 75.8 mile marker, in Union Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 46-year-old Rodney S. Foster, of Clearfield, was traveling west on I-80 in the left lane, and a deer ran out from the medial onto the roadway in front of his 2014 Kia Sorento. Foster was unable to avoid the deer, and the passenger’s side front of the car struck it.

After impact, Foster pulled his vehicle over onto the north berm of the roadway.

Rodney Foster and two passengers – 38-year-old Stephanie L. Foster and a four-year-old male, both of Clearfield – were using seat belts and were not injured.

Corsica Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
