One Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Union Township

UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 80 West, in Union Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 44-year-old Edward E. Rodabaugh, of Omaha, NE, and 63-year-old Abdul Muhammed, of Macon, GA, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 9:15 a.m. on March 25, a 2014 Kenworth T66, driven by Rodabaugh, and a 2006 Peterbilt TT, driven by Muhammed, were traveling westbound on I-80.

According to police, the Kenworth was following too closely to the Peterbilt and struck the rear end of it. The Kenworth sustained minor damage.

Both vehicles came to a rest partially in the right lane and shoulder of the westbound lane.

Muhammed suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Brookville Ambulance transported him to Brookville Hospital.

Rodabaugh was not injured.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Rodabaugh was charged with a traffic violation.
