Riera’s truck began to roll before striking the median and coming to a rest on its passenger side.

The force of the impact caused the vehicle’s trailer to become disconnected.

Riera was flown to UPMC Altoona by STAT MedEvac where he is being treated for suspected serious injuries.

A passenger, Joseph McDonnell, also of New York, was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment of minor injuries.

Adrian Volunteer Fire Department, PennDot, Amserv-Dusan Ambulance Service, Bricen Town, and Mottman Towing assisted at the scene.
