One Person Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Route 219

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.SANDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a three-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 219, Rich Highway, at its intersection with State Route 8002, in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

Police say around 5:19 p.m. on November 13, a 2010 Ford F550 pickup, driven by 33-year-old Matthew W. Smith, of Brookville, was traveling south on SR 219, and a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by 53-year-old Robin J. Park, of Brookville, was traveling north on SR 219.

A 2013 Freightliner Conventional, driven by 51-year-old Carl D. Reagle, of DuBois, was stopped on SR 8002 at SR 219.

Police say Smith negotiated a left turn from SR 219 to SR 8002, and his pickup crashed into Park’s Pontiac. The Pontiac then crashed into Reagle’s Freightliner.

Smith was using a seat belt and was not injured.

Park was using a seat belt and suffered injuries of unknown severity.

DuSan EMS transported her to Penn Highlands Hospital.

Reagle was using a seat belt and was not injured.

Smith was charged with a traffic violation.

Sandy Township Volunteer Fire Department, DuSan EMS, and Zimmerman Towing assisted at the scene.
