One Sent to Hospital Following Union Township Collision

Blue flashing sirens of police car during the roadblock in the cUNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash yesterday on Interstate 80 westbound in Union Twp., Clearfield County.

Police say 24-year-old Sarah McGuigon, of Palmerton, Pa., and 58-year-old Donald Herline, of Cincinnatus, New York, were involved in a collision near mile marker 107.3

McGuigon was traveling in the left lane around 3:13 p.m. when she crossed over into the right lane for unknown reasons.

Her vehicle collided with Herline’s car.

Herline’s car subsequently exited the roadway and crashed into a guide rail.

He was transported to Penn Highlands-DuBois for treatment of unknown injuries.

McGuigon was not injured.

Police say McGuigon was cited with a lane violation.

Sandy Twp. VFD and DuBois EMS assisted at the scene.
