PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 10:19 a.m. on August 21, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 1830, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.
Police say 61-year-old Anthony J. Totin, of Tionesta, was traveling north on SR 1830 in a 1998 Dodge Ram 3500, towing a utility trailer full of railroad ties.
For unknown reasons, the trailer began to fishtail, causing the vehicle to travel off the east berm, striking the guide rail with the front end, according to police.
Totin was using a seat belt and was not injured.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
Jefferson County PennDOT assisted at the scene.
