Emergency Crews Respond to One-Vehicle Crash on Route 36

BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A 43-year-old Dubois woman was in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 36 in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

Marienville-based State Police say the accident happened around 12:13 p.m. on February 6, 2014 when a 2011 Honda Pilot operated by Ann Songer of Dubois lost control on the slush covered roadway striking a guard rail. After hitting the guard rail, the Honda Pilot then traveled back into the southbound lane and struck the guard rail off of the southbound lane before coming to a final rest facing south.

Songer was wearing a safety belt and was not injured in the accident.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

The Honda Pilot was towed from the scene by Zimmerman’s Towing.

Sigel Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
