One-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Sandy Township

State PoliceSANDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 6:31 a.m. on September 15, a one vehicle crash occurred in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

Police say the crash occurred along Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 98.4. A 2001 Chevrolet Impala operated by Nicolas Santana, 27, of Hazelton, was traveling in the left lane when he lost control of the vehicle while attempting to change lanes.

The vehicle rotated clockwise and traveled across the right lane and shoulder and impacted the guide rail, breaking through and then overturning while traveling down a steep embankment, coming to rest on its wheels facing south, according to police.

Santana was wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury.

He was cited for a traffic law violation.

DuSan EMS and Sandy Township VFD assisted at the scene.
