Operator Loses Control of Tractor-Trailer, Crashes into Tree in Union Township

police-lights-3UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a tractor trailer crash occurred on Interstate 80 West, near mile marker 104.4, in Union Township, Clearfield County.

Police say around 3:30 p.m. on December 30, Deonta Harrison, 25, of South Carolina, was driving in the right lane of I-80 and lost control of his 2015 Freightliner.

The truck left the roadway, hit an embankment, then struck a tree, coming to rest.

Harrison was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Arrangements were made for a tow.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
