Orris Bergh, Jr., 82 of DuBois passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois after a lengthy illness.
He was born October 10, 1934 in Poplar, Montana; son of the late Orris & Selina (Falcon) Bergh.
He was married to Ellen L. (Askey) Bergh on July 3, 1957; she survives in DuBois.
Orris was also survived by four children Linda (Timothy) Stitt of Commodore, PA, Tammy Meier of Penfield, Randy (Vicky) Bergh of Luthersburg and Michael Bergh of Charleroi, PA three sisters JanTwobears (Geo) Falcon of Idaho, Joyce (Robin) Neihardt of Arizona, and Audrey (Delbert) Lutz of North Dakota, four brothers Raymond (Kathleen) Bergh of Utah, Joseph Bergh of North Dakota, James (Bonnie) Bergh of North Dakota, and Larry (Patricia) Bergh of Tennessee, two grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Orris was a member of Turtle Mountain Reservation, Cree – Chippewa tribe in North Dakota, He was raised in Trenton N. Dakota on Reservation Land.
He was a past volunteer with Habitat for humanity and was awarded volunteer of the year.
He loved playing golf, poker, and telling stories.
He worked with the Amish Communities in the area for many years.
He was also a member of the All Seasons Trap & Skeet Club. He was employed as a driller & heavy machine operator for most of his life.
Orris was also preceded in death by a brother Leslie and a sister Doris.
Orris was an organ donor through CORE and always believed in helping people even after death.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
