Passenger Transported by Helicopter after Gaskill Township Crash

1812d1140135579-stat-medevac-stat1[1]GASKILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Lipp Road in Gaskill Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, at 5:30 p.m. on March 6, an unnamed driver was traveling north in a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Police say the vehicle left the west side of the roadway and struck a tree with the passenger side of the vehicle.

The vehicle then spun 180 degrees and came to final rest off the roadway facing east.

The driver was not injured in the crash.

An unnamed passenger was taken from the scene by helicopter for treatment of injuries.

The extent of the passenger’s injuries are unknown.

The driver and passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Big Run EMS also responded to the scene.
