Patricia A. “Pat” Shaffer

Patricia A. “Pat” Shaffer, 68 of Rossiter, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving family and and dear friend, Shirley Wright at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Mrs. Shaffer was born March 18, 1948 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Willard and Rose (Spinelli) Fisher.

March 8, 2000, Pat married her best friend of many years, John Shaffer of Rossiter. They were married 16 years.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter. Pat was the manager of the Brandon Hotel in Rossiter. She loved playing slot machines, cruising, vacations, bingo and making fabulous pizza. She was a “mother to all” and was hostess to the greatest Christmas Eve parties ever.

In addition to her husband John, she is survived by three children; Michelle Brink and husband Danny, Michael Berringer and wife Beth along with Johnathan Shaffer and wife Nichole all of Rossiter, seven grandchildren; Mesha, Mikeelee and Bronson Brink, Kyler Berringer, Darriene London, Navada and Devynn Shaffer. She is also survived by one sister; Mary Tyger and husband Daniel of Rossiter, brother in law; Larry Shaffer and wife Carol of Oil City, and her special nieces and nephews; Dane Fisher-Tyger, Tara Seger, Crystal Pearce, and Connie Piekelek.

She is preceded in death by one sister; Rosalind Pearce, one brother; James Fisher, nephew; James Dobson and great niece; Tia Marie Dobson.

Friends will be received from 2-8 pm Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter.

Private interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
