Patricia Calhoun

OI824818227_CalhounphotoPatricia Calhoun, 89, of Calhoun Road Brockway, Pa. died on Friday, October 17, 2014 at her residence.

Born on January 19, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret Squires Ward.

On March 13, 1943 she married Robert E. Calhoun and he survives. Retired, she had been employed at Brockway Glass for 19 years as a Packer. Patricia was a member at the Presbyterian Church in Brockway, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a avid bowler and also served for many years as an officer in the league she bowled in. She also was a Pittsburgh Pirate and Steelers fan, as well as a Penn State football fan.

She and Robert enjoyed traveling to Winter Haven, Florida during the cold winter months, and they enjoyed these trips for 15 years.

She and Robert also participated in the Appalacian Wagon Train for 6 years, Pat riding in the wagon and Robert on the horse, and they operated their own greenhouse for 6 years.

The thing she enjoyed the most was her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by a daughter Patricia Hamblin of Brockway; a son Clifford (Sheri) Calhoun of Brockway; a son-in-law George Undernehr of Bentonville, AR; and a daugher-in-law Penny Calhoun also of Brockway. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Shane (Debra) Hamblin of Summerville, SC; Clayton Calhoun of Brockway; Megan (Nick) Frank of Martinsburg, WV; Ty (Shannon) Calhoun of Erie, PA; Courtney (Josh) Snyder of Punxsutawney, PA; Stormey (John) Collins; Cali Keisner; Zebulon Undernehr and Elijah Undernehr all of Bentonville, AR; and seven great-grandchildren: Zachary and Kane Hamblin, Jax Calhoun, Ava and Quinn Snyder, Xander and Berkeley Collins as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Robyn Undernehr, a son Dennis Calhoun, a brother Jack Ward, and a sister-in-law Isabelle Ward.

Friends will be received on Sunday, October 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway, and from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Presbyterian Church also in Brockway.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. at the Presbyterian church with Rev. Clair Lundberg officiating.

Burial will follow in the Beechtree Cemetery.
