Pearl L. “Bonnie” Bortz, 83, of 151 East Main Street, Brookville, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Penn Highlands in DuBois.
She was born on July 28, 1931 in Turtle Creek, Pa.
She was the daughter of Harry Marks and Ida Smeltzer Marks.
She was married to Harold Bortz who preceded her in death.
A homemaker, she enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, board games, shopping and dancing.
She is survived by three children, John Dietrich, Jr. of Knox, Dolly Baacke of Brookville and Tim Vargo of Pittsburgh, grandson, Tim Vargo, Jr. of Pittsburgh, sister Betty Czeriske and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sharon Spivey, brother William “Bill” Marks and sister Agnes Gumpher.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McKinney Home, Main St., Brookville.
