Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Corsica; Police Seek Information on Driver

CORSICA BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are seeking information on a hit and run that occurred around 8:15 a.m. on July 20, on Church Street, 148 feet north of Water Street, in Corsica Borough, Jefferson County.

According to police, 22-year-old Tamera K. Gillen, of Corsica, was walking north on Church Street and an unidentified vehicle was also traveling north on the same street.

Police say the unidentified vehicle struck Gillen, did not stop, and left the scene.

Gillen came to a final rest in the parking lot of a private property, according to police.

She suffered minor injuries and was transported to Brookville Emergency Room.

No other information was provided.

The investigation continues.
