PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident that took place Tuesday evening.
Police say the accident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of E. Mahoning Street and North Penn Street.
A 2003 Dodge Neon operated by Kenesha Pearce, of Glenn Campbell, Pa., was traveling on East Mahoning Street and making a left onto North Penn Street when the vehicle struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
Police identify the pedestrian as Crystal Adams, of Cloe, Pa.
Jefferson County EMS transported Adams to the Punxsutawney Hospital where she was then flown to Altoona Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
