Peggy Jane Monoskey, 90, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.
She was born November 29, 1923 in Canoe Twp., Indiana County, a daughter of the late Sanford Clay “Bob” and Pearl (Pearce) Seger.
On February 23, 1946, she married Steve Monoskey. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1994.
Peggy was a dedicated wife and mother. Her biggest enjoyment was her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She attended both the Christian Missionary Alliance Church and the First Church of God.
Peggy is survived by two daughters, Sharan Stahlman; Nancy Miller and husband Duane all of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Tanya Stahlman; Leticia Miller, Eric Miller, Jason Miller and wife Carrie; two great grandchildren, Clara Miller and Christian Miller.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Robert Seger.
Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Greg Smith.
A private interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Rossiter, PA.
