PennDOT Worker Charged with Harassment After Allegedly Attacking Co-Worker

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a 49-year-old woman was charged with harassment following an altercation at PennDOT Maintenance District 10-5 Offices, on Witherow Street, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Police say around 2:00 p.m. on July 3, a 56-year-old Punxsutawney man and 49-year-old Karen L. Knopick, of Punxsutawney, were engaged in an argument at work.

During the argument, Knopick allegedly slapped the victim on his head, neck, and shoulders approximately six to eight times, and then she threw a pair of safety glasses toward him.

Charges of Harassment were filed against Knopick with District Judge Douglas Chambers.
