Pennsylvania Great Outdoors: Bike MS: Cook Forest River Ride

September 14 at 8:00 a.m. will commence the running of the 17th annual charity cycling ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Cook Forest.

Chris Pfeiffer, Bike MS Manager, National MS Society, PA Keystone Chapter commented, “Join us for this wonderful one-day charity bike ride. The Bike MS: Cook Forest River Ride has great local support and is celebrating its 17th year.

“All levels of cyclists are invited to either ride our lovely 35-mile route along the Clarion River or accept the challenge of our 60-mile route. Both routes are on roads and are fully supported. Finish with a BBQ meal in Cook Forest State Park.”

As the title reads, it is a “ride” and not a “race.”

It is a fundraising charity ride. There are two route options available. There is a registration fee (currently $42.00) and a fundraising minimum of $100.00 for the event. Each cyclist gets a t-shirt and a meal at the end of the ride. The money raised supports the National MS Society and goes toward research, support for those impacted by MS, and ultimately to find a cure.
