Peter Bobalik

Peter Bobalik, 90, of Punxsutawney, PA died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital in Punxsutawney, PA.

He was born June 1, 1924 in Simpson, PA, the son of the late Michael and Julia (Revilak) Bobalik.

On August 26, 1950, he married Anna Gresock, who survives

He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II

Prior to his retirement, he worked at Pete’s Texaco and DG Mock Oil Company in Punxsutawney.

He was a member of SS Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church.

Until 1972, he and his family lived in the Flint, Michigan area. He owned Standard and Mobile Service Stations and later worked at Jim’s Transmission Service before moving back to Punxsutawney.

Hi favorite pastimes included playing his guitar, camping, playing solitaire and listening to Detroit Tigers baseball.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Michael A. Bobalik and his wife, Jill of Sturgis, MI, Gary J. Bobalik and his wife, Suzanne of Swartz Creek, MI; one daughter, Marlene Lellock and her husband Jeffrey of Punxsutawney, PA; one brother, Andrew Bobalik and his wife, Tricia of Flushing, MI; and by one sister, Helen McCloskey of Grand Blanc, MI.

He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Bobalik, one sister, Mary Stringer and by one step-brother, John Palansak.

Friends will be reeived at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at SS Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Riccardo officiating.

Burial was take place in the Byzantine Cemetery in Horatio.

The family requests that donations in memory of Mr. Bobalik be made to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, 83 Hillcrest Drive,Punxsutawney, PA. 15767.
