D9Sports.com/EYT Media is doing a series of player profiles on returning high-school athletes this summer. The year in school listed by the athlete is the year the athlete is entering this fall.

CHASE HUSTED – SENIOR – DUBOIS

Son of: Clark Husted and Emilie Husted
Sports Played: Football, Basketball, Baseball
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: His dad played football and basketball, his mom played volleyball and field hockey, his one brother played volleyball and football, his other brother played basketball and football.
2018-19 Highlights: First-team All-State and D9Sports.com All-District 9 at tight end after catching 41 passes 601 yards and three touchdowns Was also named the team Offensive MVP … First-team D9Sports.com All-District 9 in basketball after averaging 15.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals per game while being named the team MVP.
Post-High School Plans: He plans to attend college and study pre-med and he plans to play football in college

Q&A With Chase Husted

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
CH: My favorite sport to participate in is football because I love the feeling of competing one on one with the player across from me and I love that it is a contact sport.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
CH: My favorite memory in high school sports was winning our school’s first playoff game in a lot of years in basketball against Carrick last year.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
CH: )I play high school sports because I love sports and I love to compete. I love the feeling you get when you win a game or score a touchdown or make a basket. It is just a lifestyle to me.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
CH: My parents have had the most influence on my athletic career because the come and support me at each and every one of my games and for a long time they would drive me to every tournament and every practice to make sure I was playing and bettering myself.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
CH: I don’t think I would change anything about high school sports because I love all of them how they are now.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
CH: If I was president one day the major thing I would do is try to find a way for world peace because there is more bad in the world than there is good and I like to see everyone happy in any setting. In doing that I would do my best to stop terrorism in all countries as well because it is absolutely horrible.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
CH: My ideal place to live is in the country because I grew up in a more country area on a lake and I love to do things like hunt and fish.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
CH: I’m very young for my class in school and I could easily be in the grade below me due to my age.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
CH: My strongest subject in school is math but I like chemistry the best.

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
CH: One event in history I would go back to would be when Jackie Robinson played in his first game in the MLB because that would take a lot of heart and a lot of guts for him to do and it would be really cool to see.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
CH: One question I wish you would’ve asked is what hobbies we like to do other than sports. Mine would be hunt, fish, water sports, and hang out with friends.
