Daughter of: Ty and Ginger Duncan
Sports Played: Volleyball and softball
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: Her sister, Hannah, played at Cranberry
2018-19 Highlights: Helped the Berries to the District 9 Class 2A title and softball and the PIAA semifinals by batting .288 with three home runs and 19 RBIs and was named third-team All-KSAC … Also helped Cranberry to the District 9 semifinals in volleyball while being named third-team All-KSAC
Post-High School Plans: She plans on going to college after high school, and she doesn’t plan on playing sports.

Q&A With Emily Duncan

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
ED: I really enjoy both sports I play. It’s hard for me to choose a favorite.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
ED: Winning the d9 championship game for the first time my sophomore year.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
ED: I was taught at a very young age and I fell in love with the sports. I also love playing with my friends.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
ED: My parents because they push me to do my hardest.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
ED: Switch the seasons of volleyball and softball because we never get any of our softball games in.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
ED: If I was president I would lower the price of college.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
ED: Country because I like to have my space.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
ED: I absolutely hate public speaking.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
ED: Math

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
ED: The 1980s to see how my parents lived.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
ED: How long have you played sports? I’ve played volleyball since seventh grade and softball since I was five.
