Q&A With Howie Stuckey III

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
HSIII: Definitely baseball, it has always been my favorite sport and I love playing the game.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
HSIII: My favorite memory from playing sports after my junior year being done was probably my 1,000th point. We played a really tough Cameron County team and it was a moral victory for us as a team. We played very well and it just so happened that I got my 1,000th point even though I got full-court triple-teamed, but that is a story for another day.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
HSIII: I play high school sports to stay active and to stay busy. I love sports and just always competing.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
HSIII: My brothers and cousins have definitely had the most impact on my athletic career just because they always taught me how to compete and didn’t give me anything easy. Also, definitely my parents just because of all the miles they’ve put on different cars taking me to baseball tournaments and showcases.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
HSIII: That you could play them forever because there is nothing like them.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
HSIII: Wow. That is a heavy question. If I was president for a day, I would find out all of the answers to the nation’s secrets like Area 51 and all those interesting conspiracy theories.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
HSIII: Definitely the country, just because it’s so peaceful and quiet.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
HSIII: Someone who doesn’t know me would be surprised to find out that I am very goofy and like to be the center of attention.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
HSIII: History

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
HSIII: I would go back to before bitcoin blew up and invest as much money as I possibly could into it so that when I came back I’d be a millionaire.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
HSIII: I wish you would have asked what advice to give to the incoming freshman or even younger athletes, and the answer to it would be that it goes really fast, I still feel like I’m a freshman and I’m going to be a senior. Don’t take it for granted and don’t wish for it to be over, because you will not want it to end.
