Pleasant Gap Man Escapes Injury In Newburg One Vehicle Crash

State PoliceNEWBURG, Pa. (EYT) –State Police in Punxsutawney report a Pleasant Gap man escaped injury following a one vehicle crash in Newburg, Clearfield County.

Police report the crash occurred as a 2005 Mack Truck operated by Phillip R. Rishel, 29, of Pleasant Gap, was traveling north along State Route 36 negotiating a right curve when it began to rotate clockwise and overturned, coming to rest facing east.

The vehicle was blocking the northbound lane of travel and partially off the east side berm.

Rishel was wearing a seat belt and escaped injury. He was charged with a traffic violation.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Bricen Towing.

The Mahaffey Fire Department assisted at the scene.
