Police: Brockway Woman Attempted to Flee Scene After Crashing into Culvert

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Brockway woman was injured in a crash in Washington Township on Sunday night.

According to DuBois-based State police, around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Airport Road near its intersection with Perrin Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 30-year-old Brittany E. Holt, of Brockway, was operating a 2014 Nissan Versa, traveling west on Airport Road when her vehicle left the roadway to the north and struck a culvert.

According to police, the vehicle then came to a final rest in a residential driveway before backing up and attempting to flee the scene. It traveled approximately 300 yards down the road before it could no longer function due to heavy front end damage. Holt then left the vehicle partially in the westbound lane, facing west, and left the scene.

Police say Holt was located at her residence the following day and had suffered a minor head injury.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The property owner was also notified of the damages.

Holt was cited for a traffic violation.
