Police: Brookville Woman Victim of Identity Theft

PINECREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating a recent case of identity theft in Pinecreek Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the incident occurred between 2:00 p.m. December 4th and 7:40 p.m. December 5th when unknown person(s) gained access to a 63-year-old Brookville woman’s debit card number and made several purchases in Ohio.

The total amount of the purchases was approximately $500.

The investigation is ongoing.
