Police Calls: Thefts, Deer Accident

state_policeDuBois-based State Police responded to the following incidents:

Gasoline Theft in Huston Township

Police say a 47-year-old DuBois woman was victim of a theft between 10:00 p.m. December 10 and 6:50 a.m. December 11 in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, unknown actors punctured the hose connecting the gas cap and gas tank on the victim’s vehicle.

The actors stole the gasoline from the tank and fled the scene undetected.

Road Sign Theft in Huston Township

Police say between October 1 and December 13, unknown actors removed road signs from two locations in Huston Township.

The signs were taken from Hickory Road at its intersections with Diamond Street and Shoemaker Road.

The signs were marking Hickory Road and Shoemaker Road.

Warsaw Township Deer Accident

Police say this crash occurred at 8:00 p.m. December 14 as an unlisted driver was traveling south on Route 28 in a 2013 Nissan NV2600.

A deer entered the roadway in the path of the vehicle and the driver was unable to avoid hitting the deer.

The vehicle was driveable and the driver did not sustain any injuries.
