Police Cite Speed as Factor in Rear End Crash in Henderson Township

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say speed was a factor in a rear-end crash that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Henderson Township.

According to police, around 4:23 p.m. on June 9, a two-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 119 just east of Paradise Road.

Police say a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500, operated by 44-year-old Harvey L. Fyock, of Punxsutawney, was stopped in the northbound lane waiting for a vehicle ahead to make a left turn, when it was struck from behind by a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by 19-year-old Brady M. Muth, of Punxsutawney, that was traveling north at an unsafe speed and failed to stop.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and three passengers in Fyock’s vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Shawna M. Nolder, of Punxsutawney, and two juveniles, ages 7 and 12, were also wearing seatbelts.

No injuries were reported.

Muth was cited for a speeding violation.
